Flag hoisting ceremony has been organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Nepal Chandra Prasad Dhakal hoisted the Indonesian flag at the office of the Honorary Consul at IME Complex, Panipokhari, Kathmandu amidst a special programme organised on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Honorary Consul Dhakal said that the two countries had a very good bilateral relation and he was effortful to take it to the level of the people.
He stressed the need of making bilateral relations stronger so as to take mutual benefits from trade and exchange of experience between the two countries.
“To strengthen the relations further and make them in the interest of both the countries, the Office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia has been playing a significant role,” he said.
Diplomatic relation between Indonesia and Nepal was established in 1960. Since then the relations between the two countries have always been cordial.
Indonesia is a growing economy in the ASEAN region. The trade volume between Indonesia and Nepal is also quite significant.
Staff of the Honorary Consul, IME Group among others were present during the flag hoisting ceremony.
